3D Printing & Design

Getting something 3D printed is easier now than it’s ever been, and there are plenty of reasons why you might want to. From just making something special and unique to replacing broken parts, 3D printing services make it easy.
FDM works on an "additive" principle by laying down material in layers; a plastic filament or metal wire is unwound from a coil and supplies material to produce a part. Thus, FDM is also known as a solid-based AM technology.
We use FDM technology because it is by far the most economical way of producing limited parts. However, because it is created the object by laying down layers you do end up with minor banding.
Already have the file designed: The process is simple. email us your 3D design, and we will send you a quote back in a brief amount of time. Fill out the form bellow to help use know the best way to process your file.
Just have an idea: Send us your sketch or complete blueprint and we will quote you on the modeling cost as well. [email protected]
What are printed parts made of? We generally use two kinds of plastic. ABS or PLA. PLA is great for many things. It can replicate higher detail, but is more fragile. ABS has a little flexibility. Lego's are made from ABS
Quality: Our prints are made from bonding very thin layers of plastic together. The thinner the layer the higher the detail. So why not print everything at higher detail? First, it can take four times longer to print a part. Thus costing more per part. The most common layer thickness we use is around twice the thickness of a human hair. This yields prints a decent print quality without going too thin. Higher print quality can be about the thickness of a hair or less.
